This notice describes the types of personal information collected through the McCoyInsure platform, the purposes for which that information is used, the parties with whom it may be shared, and the choices available regarding how it is handled. By using the platform, users acknowledge and consent to the practices described in this notice.
Information is collected in several ways. When a user creates an account, submits a quote request or contacts McCoyInsure directly, details such as name, email address, phone number, mailing address and coverage-related information are collected. Additional data may be gathered automatically through the use of cookies, log files and similar tracking technologies when navigating the platform. This may include IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited and session duration.
The information collected is used to provide the services available on the platform, including generating insurance quotes, matching users with plan options, processing inquiries and maintaining account records. Contact details may also be used to send account notifications, renewal reminders, response confirmations and service-related updates. With appropriate consent, contact information may be used to send marketing communications about available insurance categories and promotions.
Personal information may be shared with licensed insurance carriers, underwriters and third-party service providers involved in fulfilling requests made through the platform. These parties are contractually required to handle personal information in a manner consistent with this notice and applicable law. Personal information may also be disclosed when required by law, court order or regulatory process, or when necessary to protect the safety, rights or property of McCoyInsure or its users.
Cookies and similar tracking technologies are used to support the functioning of the platform, remember user preferences and analyze usage patterns. Most browsers allow cookies to be disabled or controlled through browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect the availability or functionality of certain platform features. The platform does not respond to "Do Not Track" signals at this time.
Reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards are in place to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. No system is entirely immune to security risks, and while protective measures are maintained, absolute security cannot be guaranteed. Users are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential and for notifying McCoyInsure promptly in the event of suspected unauthorized access.
Users have the right to request access to the personal information held about them, to request correction of inaccurate data, and to request deletion of their information where permitted by applicable law. Requests to opt out of marketing communications can be submitted at any time by responding to an email with the word "STOP," by texting STOP to any marketing message or by contacting McCoyInsure directly. Fulfillment of such requests does not affect the ability to use core platform features.
The platform is not directed at individuals under the age of eighteen. Personal information is not knowingly collected from minors. If it is discovered that a minor has submitted information without appropriate consent, that information will be removed promptly. If a parent or guardian believes a minor's information has been submitted, they should contact McCoyInsure immediately.
This notice may be updated periodically to reflect changes in data practices, applicable regulations or platform capabilities. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when the current version was last revised. Continued use of the platform following any updates constitutes acceptance of the revised notice.
